Cisterns The Museum of the City

The Museum of Caceres is located in two historical buildings of the old town, declared Patrimony of the Humanity for the UNESCO.
There are two levels, with archeevenness of half a point and toscan columns in the low floor. The most important contributions were the gargoyles, the auctions of ceramics enameled of the cover and the shields of the front. The initial idea of the Museum of Caceres arises already in 1889 with a collection of archaeological and artistic objects. In the photo, the arabic cisterns.

Acueduct of MiraclesThe Acueduct of Miracles (Mérida)

It arises from Proserpina's reservoir, Roman work that possesses o dike of 500 meters of length, and that was providing with water Merida, after overcoming a tour of 9 kilometres, of which the beautiful aqueduct of the Miracles was forming a part. The theatre was built IN 16 A.C. Marco Agripa was the best promoter. More or less 6000 persons could enter inside. The theatre is a place civil where greek's playswere interpreted. It had got: “cavea”(tier), “oschestra” (place where the choir was), “proscenio” ( place where the actors act) and “scaena”. The tier was distributed according to the social class. In the external of the theatre, a garden was built wiht an arcade.

The bridge was one of the first works raised in Emeritus August. Being constructed in a strategic way, to protec the colony and the oriental territory of the peninsula. The bridge consists with 60 arches and a length of 192 meters. In spite pf having suffered several restorations, still it is posible to observe his primitive construction.
