Prerroman peoples (Judit Lozano)

The Iberans. They were coming from the north of Africa and they occupied the Mediterranean litoral. They were living in tribesand weredevoting themseves to the raching, the agriculture and the metal industry. They managed to obtain a civilization. His religion was turning conocerning the stars and the spirits.
The Tartesians. His unknown oring and they settled themselved in the shout of the peninsula, wherefrom they bloomed important cities as Tartessos. They devoted themselves to the raching, the agriculture and the maritime trade. They were adoring the Sun, the moon and other stars.
The Celts. They were Indo-Europena and they settled themselves in the center and in the north of the peninsula. His civilization was important, stands out his skill in the agriculture, in elaborating metals and in the decorative arts. His religion was polythestic and they were adoring the Sun the beam and other elemnts of the nature. Celts and Iberians fused signing the Celtiverian village. The Cantabrians, natives of Asturias and vascones in the north of the peninsula.

The Roman Bridge

The Roman bridge was built in 105 after Christ, by the architect Cayo Julio Cesar. This bridge is of Trajano time. The bridge is one the best works of roman engineering. It is on tiver Tajo. It have 194 meters long, 8 meters wide and 48 meters tall. It have six arcos and five pillars

Construction of Roman bridges(Judit Lozano)

The design was consisting in one o more round arches supported on aligned props. On these arches there goes the route that crosses the river. In the props they were constructing tajamares projections to reduce the erosion that produces the water. In the construction they were using big blocks, which were forming the external paraments, and were refilling the interior of mortar cemented with puzolana. To hoist the blocks they were using derricks moved by slaves, placed inside a wheel. The construction of the bridge was beginning for the foundations, once selected the firmest area and verified the resistance of the subsoil. The most important problem was the water. To solve in they were using ataguías. Inside the ataguías one was proceeding to the construction of the props. They were leaving step ata the time, the carpenters who were placing the centering. On the centering the dovelas up to completing the curve.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Two little boys are in a hospital and are lying next to each other. The first boy leans over and asks, "What are you in here for?"
The second replies, "I'm in here to get my tonsils out and I'm a little nervous".
The first boy says, "You've got nothing to worry about. I had that done to me once. They put you to sleep and when you wake up they give you lots of jello and ice cream. It's a piece of cake!"
The second boy then asks, "What are you in here for?"
The first boy replies, "Well, I'm here for a circumcision".
The second says, "Whoa! I had that done when I was born. I couldn't walk for a year!!!"

Baseball in Heaven
Two buddies, Bob and Earl, were two of the biggest baseball fans in America. Their entire adult lives, Bob and Earl discussed baseball history in the winter, and they shouted every score during the season. They went to 60 games a year. They even agreed that whoever died first would try to come back and tell the other if there was baseball in heaven.
One summer night, Bob passed away in his sleep after watching the Yankee victory earlier in the evening. He died happy.

A woman awakes during the night, and her husband isn’t in bed with her. She goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee. "What's the matter, dear?" she asks. "Why are you down here at this time of night?"
The husband looks up from his coffee, "Do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 16?" he asks solemnly.
"Yes, I do," she replies.
"Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car making love?"
"Yes, I remember," says the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him.
The husband continues, "Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, 'Either you marry my daughter, or I'll send you to jail for 20 years?’"
"I remember that, too," she replies softly.
He wipes another tear from his cheek and says, "I would have gotten out today".

The Museum of the City

The Museum of Caceres is located in two historical buildings of the old town, declared Patrimony of the Humanity for the UNESCO.

There are two levels, with archeevenness of half a point and toscan columns in the low floor. The most important contributions were the gargoyles, the auctions of ceramics enameled of the cover and the shields of the front. The initial idea of the Museum of Caceres arises already in 1889 with a collection of archaeological and artistic objects. In the photo, the arabic cisterns.

The Acueduct of Miracles (Mérida)

It arises from Proserpina's reservoir, Roman work that possesses o dike of 500 meters of length, and that was providing with water Merida, after overcoming a tour of 9 kilometres, of which the beautiful aqueduct of the Miracles was forming a part. It dates to the 1st century. THEATRE OF MERIDA (Laura Sánchez)

The theatre was built IN 16 A.C. Marco Agripa was the best promoter. More or less 6000 persons could enter inside. The theatre is a place civil where greek's playswere interpreted. It had got: “cavea”(tier), “oschestra” (place where the choir was), “proscenio” ( place where the actors act) and “scaena”. The tier was distributed according to the social class. In the external of the theatre, a garden was built wiht an arcade.

The Streets

In Montijo, my town, there is a problem big enough, how I see the problem. The street of my town is in very bad conditions, to cause of the numerous repairs and of the old age of the propies. Many times you go through the street and you bump or you fall you how friend mine. . . Beisdes it hasn't already been just through that you tall you or it drive very bad, it is that is unsightly ,make very ugly and I want to be proud of my town, because now it is very ugly and it gives pity go through the street and it see the stret gully. This I don't just it because there is very people that argue that in numerous ocassions, I include. In conclusion, it must repair th street because they are do a pity and must to do a ballot through the town, and if the mayority want repair it, to do a income tax or something, a income tax during some months and the problem is resolved.

National Park of Monfragüe

National Park of Monfragüe is in the province of Caceres, in the center of the triangle formed by Navalmoral de la Mata, Plasencia and Trujillo. Declared Nature reserve in 1979 and National Park in 2007,and it's represents one of the most extensive and representative enclaves of forest and Mediterranean bushes. The Tajo and his tributary, the Tiétar, provide the aquatic way and make in big rock headlands where they agree spectacular colonies of tawny vultures and the pecular falcon, the eagle nest , and the real owl. In his shores and riverbeds we can find the martín pescador, myths, cormorants, nightingales, besides others related to the aquatic way as the otter.

Espronceda’s Life

José Ignacio Javier Oriol Encarnación de Espronceda y Delgado is one of the most renowned poets in the Spanish Romanticism: (1808 - 1842). José de Espronceda was born in Almendralejo (Badajoz) on March 25, in 1808. He studied at the College of San Mateo. His theacher was the famous Albeto Lista. As a youth he formed a secret society, and the fifteen years old was imprisoned to a monastery for 5 years, for this. Espronceda began to write the historical poem “El Pelayo” during his stay in the monastery.
After that spent years traveling. And was devoted to politic and journalism.
José de Espronceda was a Spanish poet of the era of Romanticism. And it was considered a grateful poet.
His works were the most recognized “ El estudiante de Salamanca” , and “El Diablo Mundo”. He died in Madrid on May 23, in 1842.

Viriato (180 a.C.-139 a.C.) was the principal leader of Lusitania. In the 150 a.C. he became in the leader of the war against Rome. Viriato decided driving the war to the meseta.
